The popular erection problems drug is making headlines.  That’s not a surprise when you realize just how popular Viagra has become, but these headlines were pretty comical.  Two odd Viagra stories surfaced this past week.

Viagra and 911
According to Miami police a man called 911 because he claimed he had overdosed on the sexual enhancing drug.  He told the dispatcher some rather detailed actions he and his wife were doing, and then told the dispatcher he was concerned for his health.

Typically dispatchers tell a man like this to call an overdoes hotline, or the drug manufacturer but this time the dispatcher decided to send an officer to the house.

The officer, who was unsure what he would find in the house, knocked on the door and found a fully dressed man at the door.  When asked about the 911 call, the man denied it and said police had the wrong house.

Unwilling to take this obvious prank lightly, police returned to the house with recording of the call. The homeowner was able to identify the male voice as a friend that was serving time in prison. Officers confirmed the prank came from a man that was already behind bars.

Football star caught without a prescription
The Oakland Raiders wide receiver Louis Murphy was pulled over by police for playing his music too loud in his SUV.  While police searched his vehicle, which Murphy gave them permission to do, they found a bottle of Viagra.

The issue was Murphy couldn’t produce the prescription so he was ticketed for it.  His thumping stereo led a citation for drug possession without a prescription.  Then the 200 pound player tried to run from police, but three officers were able to catch him.  He was charged with resisting arrest as well.
