Donna Rubin the founder and co-owner of Bikram Yoga NYC joins the show.
Donna brings many years of experience to her position at Bikram Yoga NYC. With a background in dance, Donna began her professional career with the National Ballet of Canada. She then starred as Meg in the original Canadian cast of Phantom of the Opera and continued her career on Broadway when she performed in Carousel at Lincoln Center and subsequently in the National Tour.
In 1998 Donna became certified at the Bikram College of India in California and has since applied her dance and yoga background to exclusively teaching the 26-pose Bikram method. Donna and her business partner, Jennifer Lobo, now own the 4 Bikram Yoga NYC studios.
Donna has been featured in such publications as the New York Times, New York Post , Elle Magazine, Jane Magazine, and has appeared on the Fox, CBS, NBC, and ABC television networks. The studio has also been featured on cable networks such as MetroChannel, New York 1, and on such programs as Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Single in the City.
Donna is married to her husband, Elliot Matlin, and they have one son, Ari.
