The Washington Redskins have had a rough season. With outcry about their racially charged name reaching a fervor and the team limping along with 3 wins and 7 losses under their belt, fans are having a hard time sticking by their team. Watching your favorite team fail can be deeply upsetting for die hard fans, and this disappointment can start to affect their everyday lives. According to a caller on a Washington Redskins radio show, the Redskins performance is making it difficult for him to… perform.
On The Fan’s Holden and Danny Show, the hosts opened up the phone lines to get answers from the fans about how the Redskins had ruined their lives. Fans blamed everything from anxiety, to high blood pressure, to moodiness on the franchise, but one caller had a different problem.
Identifying himself as Dave in Waldorf, the caller said the Redskins were causing him to have trouble in the sheets.
“Now listen, I’m gonna tell y’all how they messed me up, man,” Dave said. “I put my heart and soul into these Redskins, man. The other day my girl wanted to have sex with me, I couldn’t even do it, bruh. I’m just so hurt with these Redskins.”
“Hold on, you turned down sex because of the Redskins?” show host Holden Kushner asked.
“I think I’ve got erection problems or something, man. I don’t know,” Dave said. “It’s because of these Redskins, man. I can’t do it.”
While outside forces can weigh on a man and affect his life in the bedroom, it’s not often you hear about a football team hurting a man on such a personal level.
