Neck size can predict likelihood of ED, new study says.
Neck size can predict likelihood of ED, new study says.
What’s your collar size? It turns out this measurement may indicate more than a shirt size. A new study shows men with a collar size of 16.3 inches or greater are more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED).

What’s the connection?

According to Daily Mail, the study shows men with wide necks are more likely to suffer from metabolic syndrome. This condition is a combination of high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. This cocktail of conditions can spell disaster in the bedroom.

The study, conducted by researchers at the University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, is the first piece of evidence to suggest that neck size and erectile dysfunction are related.

The study looked at the neck size of 92 men between the age of 40 and 60. Those with large necks sizes were most at risk for sexual dysfunction.

What kind of treatments is there for ED?

ED is the most common sexual problem for men. Statistics show about half of all men between the age of 40 and 70 are affected by the condition.

There are treatments for ED.

Fortunately, there are treatments, many of which are oral medications. Right now, there are five medications that are approved by the FDA to treat ED. They include Viagra, Cialis, Stendra, Staxyn and Levitra. All of these medications work in a similar way, but there are pros and cons to each.

If you believe you have ED, you should talk with your doctor about treatment options. eDrugstore.com offers online consultations and can give qualified consumers a prescription for one of these medications if a doctor deems it necessary.
