How Much Are Cialis and Tadalafil at CVS, Walgreens, & Walmart in November 2019?

While stability marked the prices for Cialis on-demand at CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart in recent months, prices for its generic equivalent were much more unsettled.

The prices of Cialis on-demand at CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart were remarkably stable from August through November. However, prices for tadalafil on-demand, its generic equivalent, fluctuated sharply during the same four-month period.

The November 2019 price for a 20-milligram tablet of Cialis at CVS was $76.16, the same as it was in August, September, and October, according to Secure Medical’s monthly review of prescription drug prices. Walgreens’ price for the same-size dose of Cialis was unchanged at $76.18 across the four-month period. As was Walmart’s price of $73.91.

Tadalafil Prices Fluctuate

No such stability was seen in prices for tadalafil at America’s three biggest retail pharmacy chains. At CVS, tadalafil’s price was $19.32 in August, $21.83 in September and October, and $24.53 in November.

Walgreens price for tadalafil was stable at $30.35 for August, September, and October, but it jumped to $36.20 in November. And Walmart’s price for tadalafil was $51.21 in both August and September but dropped to $40.41 for October and November.

Unparalleled in terms of duration of action, high-strength Cialis (10 to 20 milligrams) and its generic equivalent, tadalafil, have erection-friendly results that last for up to 36 hours. It’s for this reason that Cialis long ago earned the nickname of the “weekend drug.” A pill popped late Friday night could still be working until early Sunday morning.

Ideal for Younger Men

An ideal choice for newlywed men and younger men with very active sex lives, Cialis and tadalafil on-demand are far more long-lasting than the competition, which includes Viagra and sildenafil, Levitra and vardenafil, Staxyn, and Stendra, none of which lasts more than eight hours.

A distinction should be drawn between high-strength Cialis (tadalafil) and its lower-strength (2.5 to 5 milligrams) sibling (also available in generic form), which is prescribed as a daily therapy. Take one of these lower-strength pills faithfully every day, and the manufacturer promises that you’ll be able to get and keep an erection whenever the need arises. This article focuses on prices for the higher-strength Cialis and tadalafil. A separate article will address prices for Cialis daily and tadalafil daily in the very near future.

No Pattern Discernible

The absence of any clear pattern in tadalafil prices makes it almost impossible to speculate about the market forces that are driving these price changes.

For men who feel Cialis or tadalafil on-demand is the drug for them, these medications are also available online from reputable prescription drug services such as eDrugstore.com. Based in Tempe, Arizona, eDrugstore has been in business since the late 1990s and stocks a full range of ED medications, including both brand-name and generic products.

Benefits of Ordering Online

Online prices from eDrugstore.com include not just the medications themselves but a handful of added-value services as well.
