Don’t let insecurity about your penis size get you down. Be an attentive lover and do everything you can to make sure you’re ready to perform with a firm penis, and you’ve done a lot to make up for anything else.

Some men who worry that their penises are too small and perhaps inadequate for satisfying their sexual partners.

We’ve all heard the phrase, “It’s not the size of the boat, it’s the motion of the ocean.” But recent study findings published by the Journal of Sexual Medicine disagree.

Researchers at the University of the West of Scotland interviewed over 323 women and discovered that women who have frequent vaginal orgasms are more likely than other women to say they climax more easily with men with larger penises. After asking the women what size penis they preferred and averaging the results together, researchers determined that women are more likely to climax when engaging with a penis over 6 inches in length.

That’s About The Size of It
The debate about whether or not penis size matters has raged for years.

In ancient Greece, small penises on men were considered desirable. Alternatively, the ancient Romans believed that the larger a man’s penis was, the more masculine he was. In later years, Dr. Alfred Kinsey reported that women, on average, preferred a larger penis.

Opponents to these studies argue that the findings don’t speak for all women and that some women prefer a smaller penis. In fact, even though the findings at the University of the West of Scotland reinforced the idea that larger penises are more likely to make a woman vaginally orgasm, 60 percent of the women interviewed said that size didn’t matter. Comparatively, 33.8 preferred larger penises.

Try exploring your partner’s sexuality in other ways as well. There are many ways to spice up routine love life.

Sexual Satisfaction and Size
Even with these findings, the debate regarding penis size and sexual satisfaction continues.

While the study found that larger penises are more likely to make a woman achieve climax, 6.3 percent of the 323 women polled reported that larger penises were less pleasurable than shorter penises. Researchers hypothesized that larger penises were more pleasurable because they are able to stimulate the entire length of the vagina, but many women reported that larger penises could make sex uncomfortable.

Regardless, the researchers wanted to stress that the findings of the study shouldn’t worry men. The size of the penis is in no way correlated to masculinity or performance in bed. While the study shows vaginal orgasms come easier with a larger penis, this isn’t all that is needed. The female orgasm is an enigma wrapped in a mystery, and a large penis isn’t always enough to get a woman there. Instead, women are encouraged to learn about their body, learn about their partner’s body, and focus on the journey, not the destination.
