Steroid treatments are not what you want to be trying on a regular basis to treat psoriasis. If they’re not working, why not try a home remedy?

This particular home remedy comes from an unlikely source. Apparently a magazine reader contributed it to a question and answer section of People’s Pharmacy.

The reader was told by a man that if she ate enough cilantro to “turn her stool green,” then she’d cure her skin problem.

Try It Yourself
Although there aren’t any studies pertaining to this particular herbal treatment, the risks are low. Especially when compared to the myriad steroid-based psoriasis treatments that also have mixed results, why not give it a try? The costs are low, and there’s very little health risk as well.

If you don’t like the taste of cilantro, also known as coriander leaf, try getting creative with how you cook it. Many dishes from China, India, and Latin America make use of the herb, so maybe try one of them for inspiration. Or just get it over with, and munch it raw. Perhaps juicing it would work as well!

Lasting Results
The woman who submitted the story says she’s been psoriasis free for over six years, and whenever she has a bout of dry skin, she eats a bundle or two of cilantro and it clears up.

Perhaps you’ll find lasting results as well!
