The number of men over 45 being affected by Erection Health Issues is rising
A recent study published in the Medical Journal of Australia has revealed that nearly two thirds of Australian men over 45 have reported experiencing erectile dysfunction. After compiling data on 108,477 men over 45 on factors such as health and lifestyle choices, it was found 61% of the men surveyed had been affected by Erection Health Issues. Researchers credited the high number to prostate cancer and poor lifestyle choices, but stressed that Erection Health Issues can be caused by a number of things.

Keeping It Up When Life Gets You Down

As men get older, the chances of being afflicted with Erection Health Issues grow with each passing year. Researchers say that the odds of men experiencing Erection Health Issues increases by 11.3 percent each year after that age of 45. This is due to men becoming more inactive as they grow older, which can greatly increase the risk of erectile dysfunction. Lifestyle choices such as smoking, consuming large amounts of alcohol, and not eating well can also be contributing factors in erectile dysfunction affliction. Researchers also revealed that men with lower socioeconomic status could potentially be at higher risk for Erection Health Issues.

But researchers stressed that Erection Health Issues isn’t set in stone for older men. Staying active, eating healthy, and maintaining a healthy weight can help to lower the chances of Erection Health Issues, along with generally improving quality of life. Cutting out cigarettes can also greatly reduce the possibility of Erection Health Issues. Due to cigarettes causing blood vessels to narrow, heavy smokers are 86 percent more likely to have difficulty achieving an erection than non-smokers.

The Hard Facts

While most people think of Erection Health Issues as just a threat to a man’s love life, the reality is that Erection problems can lead to bigger problems. According to a previously conducted study, men with erection issues are 60% more likely to suffer from coronary heart disease, and are twice as likely to die early compared to men who don’t suffer from Erection Health Issues. Men afflicted with Erection Health Issues are advised to consult their doctor.
