Don’t you just hate the daily commute to work? Long train or car rides, the delays, the crowds. I’ve got an idea for you how to make these trips fun and informative at the same time. Your sex life will thank you for that.

Didn’t get good sex education in school? Never too late to catch up. Especially if you’re worried about ED or are struggling with erectile problems already. When it comes to the bedroom, knowledge is power.

There’s a ton of free resources providing sexuality education for adults online. And they are perfect for that daily commute. You can listen to a podcast, watch a YouTube video or read a blog post. It doesn’t get easier than that.

Porn is not good sex education

Trust me, it’s better than trying to learn about becoming a great lover through porn. Pornography is not a good source of education. It’s entertainment and fantasy. An exaggerated one, for the matter.

There’s nothing wrong with using porn as long as you don’t feel it has taken over your life. Most guys watch it, especially in the younger age group. One study revealed 92% of male college students consumed pornography and 50% of women too.

Do me a favor and keep the porn for what it’s made for – to get you excited or spice up an evening together. If you need science-based education, use dedicated online channels. Here’s a couple of resources that will help you learn more about sex and ED:

Real couple talks about performance anxiety and ED

If you like to get inspired by real people and their stories, check out this YouTube video on how to support yourself and your partner when experiencing ED.

Watching YouTube videos together is a great way to educate yourself about sex

Conor and Brittany are a real-life couple who talk about their own experiences with performance anxiety. So we get both a man’s and a woman’s perspective on it. They also offer practical tips such as trying to experience intimacy in a different way when erectile problems appear.

The couple also proposes to “Mix it up and do something different” in bed. “There’s power in changing our routine and pattern”, they explain.

It’s important to note that what Conor and Brittany talk about is mental ED. They don’t address medical issues and admit they have never tried Viagra or other ED medication. Remember, when you suspect erectile problems go see a doctor to rule out any physical causes.

On their chan, Conor and Britany offers videos about a range of sexuality and relationships topics from a fresh perspective so it’s worth a try

Go back to basics

If you prefer to read, you will find a ton of blogs about sex. I recommend going back to basics and diving deep into Scarleteen. Originally a resource for teenagers, it’s so well-researched and written that everyone can benefit.

Start with their article “Why you don’t have to get so down about not getting it up”. The author,  Josh Cuppage starts with busting the myths around ED. He also explains the possible causes and treatments.

This website has a wealth of information on everything from STIs to sexual techniques. You will find it useful in your own intimate life. And if you have kids of your own it will become an invaluable resource for talking to them about sexuality.

Listen to a sex therapy session

Do you suffer from erectile dysfunction but are afraid to go to a sex therapist? Here’s your chance to listen in on an actual session and see for yourself it’s not that scary.

“Where should we begin?” is a podcast series featured on Spotify and Audible. In each episode, you get to listen to a real sex therapy session with a world-renowned expert, Esther Perel.

Here’s what she says about the show:

“My hope is to provoke, evoke, and stimulate meaningful conversations. When you listen deeply to the stories of others, you see yourself, you feel less alone, are open to new ideas and are emboldened to start the conversations that will transform your life.”

One of the episodes is called “Impotent is no way to define a man”. It follows the story of a married couple who have had bedroom problems for years due to the man’s erectile difficulties.

“You have to be inside of you. But you have spent 20 years trying to be inside of her”, the therapist says to the man. Perel proposes concrete exercises and offers deep insight into the source of their problems.

Sometimes talk therapy will not be enough to solve ED problems. Depending on their specialization, your therapist may be able to prescribe Viagra or similar medication. Alternatively, they may refer you to a physician who can make that prescription. You can easily order your medication online.  Just click here and find the treatment you are interested in.
