Assuming you don’t suffer from untreatable erectile dysfunction, even “bad” sex is still probably pretty good.
But what if your sex life with your wife could be even better? Would you be willing to do whatever it takes?
Actually, it turns out that having better sex is as simple as sharing in childrearing responsibilities.
The Study
A Georgia State University study looked at data from 487 heterosexual couples and divided them into three groups:
Group No. 1: The woman was responsible for most or all of the child care
Group No. 2: The couple split the responsibilities of child care
Group No. 3: The man was responsible for most or all of the child care
The study found that couples who shared child care duties had a more satisfying and higher quality relationship and sex life.
It’s interesting to note that for Group 3, women reported the highest satisfaction with their sex life, while the men reported the lowest satisfaction.
Other ways to improve your sex life
There are plenty of other ways you can improve your sex life. Here are a few:
-
Share in the housework. A study published in
Journal of Family Psychology
found that men who did their fair share of housework had more sex.
-
A Drexel University study on sexting found that couples who practiced sexting had a more satisfying sexual relationship.
-
Address any emotional issues either through counseling alone or through couple’s counseling.
-
Treat erectile dysfunction (ED) issues with Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. If impotence is hurting your sex life, consider talking to your doctor about these ED drugs and how they could help you obtain and maintain an erection.
Erectile dysfunction isn’t a necessary evil of aging. It can be treated in the majority of men, even those who have had heart problems or prostate surgery. Just be sure to discuss any health concerns and medications with your doctor to determine which ED drug—Viagra, Levitra or Cialis—is best for you.
