
A list of the Top 25 drunkest cities was just released, with Boston, Springfield and Milwaukee topping the charts.
The list takes into account the number of drinks consumed on an average month and other issues like binge drinking, according to The Daily Mail.

The Heavy Drinkers

Boston is home to a large Irish population, which is known to enjoy a pint or two. On average a person drinks 15.5 drinks a month in that city. Milwaukee comes in third. This city has a lot of small brewers with a contingent of loyal drinkers. Houston comes in at number 25, but the city has a high rate of people that are considered binge drinkers, at 15.4 per cent of the population.
Different Lists, Different Results
A different “Drunken” list has Boston sitting as one of the least drunk cities in the U.S. This list came out in 2010. It raises the question – how much stock should be put in these kinds of lists? This two-year old list, which was published in USA Today, shows Fresno, Reno and Billings as the biggest drinking cities.
