Doctor Disclosed Husband’s Cialis Prescription to Wife

You don’t need to worry that your doctor is going to discuss your erectile dysfunction (ED) drug with your wife’s without your permission.

A federal appeals court has just reopened a suit against a doctor who disclosed his patient’s Cialis prescription to the patient’s wife, and it played a role in their divorce.

No doubt, doctors everywhere are watching this case and taking note that erectile dysfunction is a very sensitive—and private—matter.

The Case

Back in 2010, Dr. Won Il Park of Palisades Park, New Jersey, wrote a prescription for Cialis to Sang Geoul Lee. Lee told his wife that he only received 10 pills, but in reality, he had received 170 pills. Some of those extra 160 pills were used during an affair Lee had.

In February 2012, Lee’s wife called Dr. Park and asked about the prescription for Cialis. The doctor revealed to Mrs. Lee that he had prescribed the man 170 pills. Needless to say, Mrs. Lee was furious and soon filed for divorce.

Although the doctor originally won the case, it is now headed to a federal appeals court.

The Benefits of Cialis

While this case may lead some to believe that karma kicked in for a cheating husband, Cialis isn’t to blame.

The erectile dysfunction drug has probably done more to save marriages than break them up, getting otherwise healthy men back in the saddle thanks to renewed erections.

Cialis works for more than 80% of men with erectile dysfunction and is available by prescription from a medical provider to ensure that it’s safe and effective. As tempting as it might be to head to the nearest corner store or online to buy supplements claiming to “cure” your erectile dysfunction, they can be useless, or worse: dangerous.

Many of those fake erectile dysfunction drugs contain poisonous ingredients, and because they’re not FDA regulated, it’s common for manufacturers to omit substances from the label. In some cases, men have even died from taking these fake ED drugs.
