Erectile Dysfunction Gel in the Works 

Futura Medical has been working on a gel to treat erectile dysfunction.

It’s still in testing but it’s moving closer to Phase III trials. MED2002, as the erectile dysfunction treatment gel is currently referred to, works very quickly and could be a good treatment in terms of spontaneity. 

Futura also has an “erectogenic” condom called the CSD500. It was released in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of 2017 and has already sold more than half a million. Once regulatory approvals are made, the CSD500 will launch in the Middle East. 

In the meantime … 

Although the gel is expected to do well if its approved, men with erectile dysfunction have great options right now, thanks to Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. 

The three top-selling erectile dysfunction drugs are already FDA approved and available with a prescription. They all work by relaxing the blood vessels that supply blood to the penis. 

If you suffer from erectile dysfunction, all you have to do is have an honest conversation with your doctor. Tell him/her about any existing medications you take, any medical conditions you have and which of the erectile dysfunction pills might work best for you. 

Viagra vs. Cialis vs. Levitra 

So, what are the differences between the three main erectile dysfunction drugs?  

They all work in similar ways but have different side effects, work for different lengths of time, and are taken at different times in relation to intercourse. 

Viagra lasts four to five hours and should be taken 30 to 60 minutes before sex. 

Cialis lasts up to 36 hours and should be taken either 30 to 60 minutes before sex or once daily. 

Levitra lasts up to eight hours and should be taken 30 to 60 minutes before sex. 

Of the three, Viagra seems the most effected by food, and according an article on diabetesincontrol.com, there is some evidence that Levitra works better than Viagra and Cialis for men with diabetes.
