Stendra is a prescription medication approved by the FDA to treat erection problems in men. First brought to market in 2012, Stendra is the newest and fastest-acting treatment currently available for erection problems.
Stendra can begin to work within 15 minutes and lasts 6 hours. Clinical trials have proven that Stendra is an effective treatment for most men, even if the patient has had erection problems for months or even years.
Stendra inhibits the production of phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE5) and relaxes the blood vessels in the penis. As a result, men can get and maintain a hard erection when sexually aroused.
You will need sexual stimulation to get an erection while taking Stendra. Usually, your erection will go away naturally after ejaculation. Even if you’ve been having erection problems for a long time, Stendra can work within the first 15 minutes.
Stendra is an “on-demand” treatment for erection problems because it is fast acting and effective. Men with erection problems like using Stendra because clinical trials showed that 80% of the men who took it were able to get an erection in the first 15 minutes.
Stendra is the first new treatment for erection problems in the past ten years. Each pill will last up to 6 hours, meaning many men can have more than one sexual encounter per dose. Health insurance plans typically cover Stendra.
Stendra is one of the fastest-acting oral ED medications available. You can take Stendra as needed about 15 minutes before sex. Stendra is available in 50mg, 100mg, and 200mg doses. Your doctor will advise and prescribe you the lowest dose that is still effective in minimizing side effects.
Do not use Stendra more than once in 24 hours or other medications used to treat erection problems. When using Stendra, you should not have more than three alcoholic drinks. Stendra does not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases.
Stendra does not have serious side effects for most men. The most common complaints in patients using Stendra include headache, flushed face, runny nose, stuffy nose, sore throat, and back pain.
In rare cases, Stendra can cause serious side effects. Seek medical attention ASAP if you experience an erection lasting more than 4 hours, vision issues, hearing loss, or ringing in the ears.
Before starting Stendra, your doctor will want to review your complete medical history. It’s important to notify your consulting doctor if you have had cardiovascular issues, including heart attack, arrhythmia, angina, heart failure, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, or open heart surgery.
Also, advise your doctor if you have sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, bleeding, ulcers, liver problems, kidney problems, or any other medical condition.
Tell your doctor if you have a deformed penis or if you have ever had an erection for 4 hours or more. When you buy Stendra at eDrugstore, be sure to include these conditions on your consultation form. If you’re not sure it’s safe to take Stendra, make an appointment with your doctor.
If you want to start taking Stendra, make a complete list of your current and nonprescription medications to show to your doctor or pharmacist.
Stendra can interact with other drugs and cause serious side effects. Tell your doctor if you take nitrates, medication to treat HIV, oral antifungal medications, antibiotics, alpha-blockers, high blood pressure medicine, or any other medication used to treat erection problems.
If you don’t know if your medication will interact with Stendra, ask your doctor or pharmacist for a complete list of contraindicated medications.
Speak to your physician about treatments for erection problems.
You should take all your medications as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking Stendra or any other medicines without speaking to your doctor first. Your doctor can help you change medications, increase your dosage, or decrease your dosage as needed. Stendra works best when you take the lowest possible effective dose.

Avanafil is used to treat male sexual function problems (impotence or erectile dysfunction-ED).
In combination with sexual stimulation, avanafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis to help a man get and keep an erection.
This drug does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, syphilis).
To decrease your risk of infection, always use an effective barrier method (latex or polyurethane condom/dental dams) during all sexual activity.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking avanafil and each time you get a refill.
If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Rarely, sudden decreased vision, including permanent blindness, in one or both eyes (NAION) may occur.
If this serious problem occurs, stop taking avanafil and get medical help right away.
You have a slightly greater chance of developing NAION if you have heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, certain other eye problems ("crowded disk"), high blood pressure, if you are over 50, or if you smoke.
Rarely, a sudden decrease or loss of hearing, sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness, may occur.
