Researchers from the University of Georgia have found that  even the occasional cigarette does damage to the body.  The study shows that even an occasional smoke damages the arteries.  The study examined college students who who smoked less than a pack a week, and found early signs of arterial damage – usually a sign of cardiovascular disease development.

Further research is needed to determine the seriousness of the noted arterial damage.
