Researchers in Buenos Aires took the time to compile data from 12 studies regarding the side effects of hair-growth drug Propecia (finasteride). Nearly 4,000 men took part in the 12 studies, so the data is believed to be a good representation of overall side effects.
Erectile dysfunction is a known potential side effect with Propecia, and the researchers did in fact find that 1 in 80 men who take the hair-growth medication reported problems with erectile dysfunction. The full study is printed in the Archives of Dermatology.
