Colleen Thompson discusses & answers the following:
- What motivated you to write Fueling the Teen Machine? If a teen skips breakfast, are they setting themselves up for “catching up” all day?
- In your experience working with teenagers, have you noticed a tendency to forgo eating (or eating properly) because of other commitments? Do some teens get distracted by studies, work and sports to make eating right a priority?
- What do you suggest students and their parents do to make sure they are getting the nutrition they need to meet all their commitments?
- What can you say about the benefits of actually sitting and eating a meal rather than grabbing on the go?
- What about fast food? Is it really so bad for teenagers? Are there any better choices out there?
