Man Gets Seven Curtain Rings Stuck on Penis After Taking Viagra
A 67-year-old Scottish man who had taken Viagra and put shower rings on his penis awoke from a nap to find himself in an embarrassing situation.

Viagra in full effect

The man had put the seven plastic rings on his penis as a sexual experiment after taking the erectile dysfunction drug.

But they became stuck while he slept. Reluctantly, he called for an ambulance, but the paramedics were unable to remove the rings.

Next, a fire crew was called in hopes that their cutting equipment could remove the rings, but they too were unable to get them off. It didn’t help that the Viagra was still in full effect. According to reports, the man’s penis was swelling and turning purple.

Eventually, the man was taken to a hospital where he was sedated and the rings were removed using lubricant. He made a full recovery.

A similar incident had just happened days before in Ipswich, Suffolk in the UK, where it took seven hours to get a ring off a man’s penis.

No fault of Viagra

As with any erectile dysfunction pill, Viagra has side effects, but causing a shower curtain ring to get stuck is definitely not one.

Common side effects for Viagra may include flushing, headache, dizziness, abnormal vision, upset stomach, back or muscle pain, sleep problems and runny or stuffy nose. Most of these are so minor that men continue to take Viagra and in almost all cases, the side effects are reversible.

Of course, as the commercials for erectile dysfunction drugs warn, an erection that lasts longer than four hours requires medical attention.

As with any prescription, be sure to discuss any health concerns or current medications with your doctor, as certain drugs, including nitrates, alpha-blockers, amlodipine and Ritonavir, among others, can interfere with erectile dysfunction drugs, such as Viagra.

And – this should go without saying – refrain from putting curtain rings on your penis.
