The problem persists today, and it’s not just the U.S. that’s facing the problem. A new report shows counterfeit Viagra pills are being sold in Pakistan with a surprising icon on the package.

According to NY Daily News, suppliers of black-market Viagra sold in Pakistan are using the likeness of President of Obama on its packaging. (Check out the product pictures here.) One package shows a James Bond-like image of Obama holding a gun. The imitation pills, which don’t look like Viagra at all, can be purchased for 25 cents in the northwestern area of Pakistan.

In the U.S., the counterfeit pills look almost identical to the real thing. Even health experts have a tough time telling the difference between a real pill and a fake one because so much care is taken in perfecting the look of the popular medication.

A lot of these medications are sold online through fly-by-night websites. Manufacturing plants are often in third world countries and are constantly opening and closing, making it hard for officials to track them down.

On top of these problems, health experts have tested the fake pills and found harmful chemicals. Everything from dry wall to printer ink has been found in fake Viagra pills.
