China ranks 11th with regard to the population’s satisfaction with their sex lives.

For the most part, Chinese society does not dwell on the sexual aspects of marriage and social well being. The fact that the culture shuns these topics may be having a devastating effect on the lives and marriages of many Chinese men.

Researchers recently conducted a study in 11 Chinese cities, and they concluded that more than one in four (26%) Chinese men suffer from erection difficulties.

It appears that men in China suffer from this problem more so than other male populations in the world.

Even more, married couples in China report having little satisfaction with their marital sex lives. Out of 13 countries surveyed, China ranks 11th with regard to the population’s satisfaction with their sex lives.

Although the Chinese generally realize that satisfying intimacy is integral to marital bliss, most men are reluctant to seek medical help. The stigma in Chinese society of being impotent, or not being able to please one’s wife, is so great that many men in China are too ashamed to seek medical assistance for erection problems.

In some cases, men act out against their wives. It was recently reported that one man killed his wife when she mocked him for not being able to perform.

The question for those who seek help centers on which is the appropriate remedy. Typically, ED is caused by physical problems. However researchers in China conclude that a small percentage of Chinese men suffer from physical ailments that contribute to erection health issues. As such, it would appear that an overwhelming number of Chinese men with this problem suffer from psychological issues that exacerbate their condition.

Chinese doctors recommend men exercise more, eat healthier, and quit detrimental habits like smoking or excessive drinking.

Age may also be a factor. It is reported that loss of erection issues strikes men in their 40s and older. So far, Chinese doctors recommend that men change their lifestyles; they suggest that the men exercise more, eat healthier, and quit detrimental habits like smoking or excessive drinking.

Doctors also note that some men who suffer from weak erections also have risk factors that could lead to cardiovascular disease. These risks include suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, using tobacco products, or excessively consuming alcohol.

At the same time, doctors in China strive to make the public aware that this problem is not one to be mocked or ignored. With the public’s awareness increasing on the topic of ED, the Chinese medical community hopes that more men will be encouraged to seek medical help for stronger erection treatments that include Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
