Levitra and Vardenafil Prices at CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart

Among the big three U.S. pharmacy retailers, Walmart currently has the lowest prices for both Levitra and vardenafil. But ordering those same drugs from an online facilitator can often save you both time and money in the long run.

Levitra was the second erectile dysfunction medication to win approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Debuting in August 2003, it followed by more than five years the introduction of Viagra, the first of the so-called PDE5 inhibitors, a class of drugs designed to improve blood flow to the penis.

Levitra’s active ingredient is vardenafil hydrochloride, which in the fall of 2018 became available as a generic equivalent to the brand-name drug. Both the brand-name and generic formulations of the drug are sold most often in 10- and 20-milligram tablets. The recommended starting dose of the drug is 10 milligrams.

Save by Splitting Pills

Because the prices for 10- and 20-milligram tablets are identical, most bargain-conscious shoppers purchase the higher-strength pills and then split them to get two doses for the price of one. If you need 20 milligrams of Levitra to get and keep an erection, this cost-saving option isn’t available to you.

A recent price check at America’s three largest retail pharmacy chains (based on 2018 prescription revenues) — CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart — revealed that Walmart has the lowest posted prices for both Levitra and vardenafil. A 20-milligram tablet of Levitra costs $59.40, or $29.70 per 10-milligram dose, at Walmart, and comparable vardenafil prices are $47.98 and $23.99, respectively.

CVS Prices Slightly Higher

Only slightly higher was CVS, which charges $61.77 ($30.89) for Levitra and $49.39 ($24.70) for vardenafil. In the middle, Walgreens currently asks $62.02 ($31.01) for Levitra and $48.62 ($24.31) for vardenafil.

For those who prefer to order their drugs from a reputable online supplier, the price per pill and dose are higher. For example, eDrugstore.com charges $74.62 ($37.31) for Levitra and $70.98 ($35.49) for vardenafil.

However, a careful analysis of what you’re getting for your money when you order from eDrugstore might well reveal that it offers the best deal of them all.

Order from the Comfort of Home

First of all, you can place an order from the comfort of your home or office, cutting out all the travel to and from the pharmacy to get a prescription filled. And you won’t waste any time waiting for the pharmacist to get your order ready.

If you don’t yet have a prescription (and these drugs can’t be purchased without one), eDrugstore can arrange a complimentary online consultation with a licensed U.S. physician who can authorize a prescription if appropriate. No travel to and from the doctor’s office and no doctor’s fee or copay. This is a substantial savings.

Shipping Is Free

Still more perks. Shipping from eDrugstore is free, and packaging is discreet so there are no outward indications on packages as to what the shipment contains. If you require expedited delivery, that is also available for a modest additional fee.

To facilitate pill splitting, eDrugstore ships a free pill splitter with all first orders, making it easy for you to put this cost-cutting strategy to work.

Take your doctor’s prescription to a conventional pharmacy, and for the posted price for the drug, you’ll get a pill and nothing more. Order from eDrugstore, and you can avail yourself of multiple ways to save both time and money. The choice is yours!

While eDrugstore sells both Levitra and vardenafil, it also offers a full range of other brand-name ED drugs — Viagra, Cialis, Staxyn, and Stendra — as well as the generic equivalents of both Viagra and Cialis. To learn more, visit eDrugstore’s Erectile Dysfunction page.
