J.D. from “Scrubs” is the Face of Erectile Dysfunction in Russia
If you used to watch “Scrubs” (or still catch the reruns), you’ll know that Zach Braff, who played the lead character J.D., is a funny actor. Thanks to a Russian poster about treating erectile dysfunction (ED), we know he’s also a funny guy in real life.

A Funny Response

Braff somehow got an image of a Russian ED advertisement with his face on it and posted it to Twitter. Some of his Russian-speaking fans translated it, relaying that it had to do with “reinstating masculine strength.” As one follower wrote: “which I’m pretty sure is a euphemism for curing impotence.”

Always the comedian, Braff went online later to share the translation of the ED ad on Twitter. He added, “I am the face of Russian boner problems” and included the hashtag “#blessed.”

Apparently, Braff’s face is adored by many a Russian, as it also appeared on an ad for computer repair services. Unlike the large colorful poster for erectile dysfunction treatment, however, this piece was just a black and white piece of paper—complete with tear-off phone number tabs—taped to a telephone pole.

At least Russia is showcasing Braff’s wide range of work!

Other celebrities’ images being used without permission

It’s not the first time a celebrity has found his face on products without approval or permission.

It’s been reported that Antonio Cesaro, a Swiss pro wrestler with the WWE, spotted his image in an ad for a high-class escort service.

Likewise, Thom Yorke of the band Radiohead, discovered that his face was being used on a book about erectile dysfunction and marital problems. The Iranian book, whose title translated to “Marital and Sexual Problems in Men,” was spotted by a Radiohead fan in his uncle’s bookstore in 2012.

There are two other men featured on the cover of the Iranian book about ED and marital problems, and as one writer pointed out, one looks like it could be author John Updike.
