Although some medical professionals are hesitant to speak on the subject, Viagra appears to be gaining increasing favor as a treatment for heart-related issues in children.
Fifteen babies or children with pulmonary hypertension in Trinidad and Tobago have been successfully treated with Viagra, according to Dr. Jose Nunez of the Gulf View Medical Centre.
“We inform the parents about why we are using it,” he said. “There is minimal risk and we have gotten good results from them in terms of delaying the onset of pulmonary hypertension so that these children could go abroad and have surgery successfully.”
A U.S. doctor from the University of Mississippi Medical Center was also quoted as saying he supports the use of Viagra in children in the Trinidad & Tobago Express article.
