No man wants erection problems. Sure, it’s commonly accepted that erection problems are an unfortunate part of growing older, but men will find the problem tooth and nail, be it with exercise or medication. But experts are saying that to save your erection, you need to move it or lose it.
While it may seem like an obvious solution, experts say that staying sexually active could lessen a man’s chances of erection problems. The reason for this is because, simply put, getting erections is good for your penis. Regular erections help to keep blood flowing to your penis, and could potentially help to prevent the body from developing erection problems.
The best way to keep your erection on it’s toes is by keeping sexually active. Researchers believe that men who regularly have sex are at a lower risk of erection problems.
To test this theory, a study conducted in 2008 by Finnish researchers polled 1000 older men. The results found that the men who reported having sex less than once a week were twice as likely to develop erection problems over the next five years compared to men who had sex at least once a week.
While researchers found these results promising, they stressed that the findings were in no way conclusive and that more research needed to be done.
Researchers have also expressed interest in exploring the connection between unconcious erections and it’s relation to erectile problems, but no conclusive studies have been conducted.
But while researchers may not have, er, hard facts yet, they stress that an active sex life could help to combat potential erection problems.
