Over in South Beach, the Clevelander is something of a landmark. It represents the sexy vibe that South Beach is known for, and is a killer bar to boot. It’s definitely a party bar, and there is almost always something going on here. So if you and your date feel like knocking back a couple drinks and getting a bit crazy, you could do a lot worse than the Clevelander. As a bonus, it’s right across from the beach, so a romantic beach walk would be a perfect follow up!
If you feel like going to bit more of a low key bar, check out the string of bars over near Southwest Avenue. The Blackbird Ordinary, the blues bar Tobacco Road, and the Irish pub Fado are all within walking distance of each other, so it would make for a great impromptu bar crawl.
Not only are they all fun bars, but they’re all relatively cheap, so your wallet will thank you.

So, you want to take your date somewhere cool, but you don’t want to do something generic like go to a bar or a fancy restaurant. Luckily for you, Miami is filled to the brim with cool, offbeat things to do.
Lip Service is quickly becoming notorious for its quirky spoken word performances. Tickets are $3 at the door, and you never know what kind of show you’re going to get. Performances range from everything to stand-up comedy, to beat poetry, to powerful monologues.
If you feel like doing something a bit more active, check out the Flying Trapeze School. Located in downtown Miami at picturesque Bayfront Park, the Flying Trapeze School will teach you how to fly through the air with the greatest of ease. Catering to amateur trapeze artists, you’ll learn to swing from the trapeze bars, and will have a date that neither of you will soon forget!
