When Is the Best Time of Day to Have Sex?

A recent survey found that the best time to have sex for most couples is 45 minutes after waking up in the morning. It’s not necessarily for everyone, because only you and your partner can determine what works best for you.

For men with erectile dysfunction who don’t take Viagra, Cialis or Levitra, waking up with “morning wood” may well be a memory from the distant past. But for those who do “rise and shine,” there’s good news.

A survey by Forza Supplements found that the best time to have sex is about 45 minutes after you wake up in the morning. (This averaged out to be 7:30 a.m. based on the survey responses.)

Why the morning? Firstly, your energy levels are higher. Just think about how many times you wanted to have sex right before bedtime but you, your partner, or both of you were just too tired. Secondly, starting your day off with sex stimulates endorphins that give a nice “high” throughout the rest of the day.

Another survey had found similar results, citing 9 a.m. on Sunday as the ideal time to have intercourse.

Excuses, Excuses

Does sex early in the morning sound more like a turn-off than a turn-on? Or more like an impossible feat with toddlers sleeping between you? It’s definitely not something that will work for all couples.

Some couples work different shifts, making it near impossible to line up schedules for morning sex.

For other couples, the luxury of sleeping in will far outweigh the desire to have morning sex.

And then there are men who suffer from erectile dysfunction. If they’re not taking an erectile dysfunction drug, such as Viagra, Cialis or Levitra, the option for morning sex is probably off the table.

But if they are taking an erectile dysfunction drug, they’ll need to make sure they’re coordinating the timing of the pill’s effects. (All the pills work slightly differently with slightly different side effects, so talk to your doctor about which might be best for your needs.)

If you can get around the issues, go for it! You’ll wake up with a smile and most likely, keep it on your face all day!

For men who suffer from ED caused by insufficient blood flow to the penis, the ED medications known as PDE5 inhibitors, such as Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis, are generally safe and effective. Talk to your doctor about getting a prescription. If the convenience of ordering your ED drugs online appeals to you, consider using the services of eDrugstore.com, a longtime online facilitator.
