A study published in the Journal of Management looked at satisfaction in the workplace and how sex at home might impact mood and behavior on the job.

The researchers studied 159 married, employed adults and had them fill out a survey two times a day for two weeks about things like how often they had sex, their mood at work the day after they have sex, and their behavior at work the day after they have sex.

The findings showed that when people had sex, they tended to be in better moods at work the next day. They also had increased job satisfaction and engagement at work.

Researchers even accounted for other factors that might affect mood at work, such as sleep quality and how satisfied the participants were with their marriage.

MedicalNewsToday.com reports that in 2016, about half of American employees said they weren’t satisfied with their jobs. What should they do?

Maybe they just need to have more sex. Have more sex, be happier at work.

The flip side: Leave your work at work.

The study also brought to light the downside of bringing work home: less sex. Which, ironically, could lead to decreased productivity and happiness in the workplace.

Part of the problem is that, thanks to technology, employees are always reachable.

So how do you have more sex?

If you’re trying to improve your sex life and/or increase the frequency, consider these factors:

  1. Do more chores. A study published in the Journal of Family Psychology found that men who do their share of chores engage in better and more frequent sex.
  2. Let your wife sleep in. A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that for women, each additional hour of sleep increases the likelihood of sex by 14%.
  3. Increase your stamina. If you’ve having difficulty obtaining or keeping an erection, consider getting a prescription for Viagra, Levitra or Cialis. These erectile dysfunction drugs are effective in treating impotence in most men.
