Why Your ED Medication Isn’t Working.
Contrary to popular belief, PDE5 inhibitors like Cialis, Levitra and Viagra are not miracle drugs. It is true, however, that they have helped millions of men every year through some of the toughest times in their sexual life.

While the medications may be working for those men, here are some of the reasons it may not be working for you.

You’re not aroused

When arousal occurs, the brain sends signals to the penis and chemicals are released into the muscle of the penis. These chemicals spark another chemical (the one that PDE5 inhibitors works on) creating an erection. You have to be aroused to get an erection. An ED medication doesn’t magically give you an erection.

You ate too much

A full stomach may satisfy one need, but it’s not going to help matters when attempting to achieve an erection while taking Viagra.

You should wait 2 to 3 hours after eating to take Viagra to increase your chances of obtaining an erection.

If you take the drugs with a full belly, you’ll reduce the dosage amount entering the blood stream reducing the chances of achieving an erection.

While it’s best to take Viagra and Levitra on an empty stomach, Cialis does not share the same restriction.

You’re rushing

A common problem amongst men that first get their prescription is that they do not wait the appropriate amount of time to initiate sex.

For Viagra and Levitra, you should wait 1 hour after swallowing the pill. This is when the drug reaches its peak level.

For Cialis, it’s between 2 to 3 hours before peak levels are reached.

Maybe another ED med is better for you

If you find that the PDE5 inhibitor isn’t working, there is no harm in asking your doctor to try another one.

You’ll most likely discover from your doctor that there is really no medical difference between them; it never hurts to go another way if one isn’t working. Everyone reacts different to medication and this might just be the answer you’re looking for.

So if you’re taking medication to enhance your sex life and it doesn’t seem to perform the way you would like it to perform, these tips could help.
