Tina Schumacher a Licensed Acupuncturist and owner of Muscle Therapy & Acupuncture Center in White Pigeon, Michigan joins the show. She says if you can make come kind of connection as to the reason one may be lighting up and to what portion is emotional and changes need to be made to break this bad unhealthy habit.
Tina Schumacher started her practice in 1985 as a sports massage therapist. Trained by Dr. Myk Hungerford of the Sports Massage Training Institute (SMTI) of Encinitas, California, she became certified in Sports Massage. She worked with the Sports Massage Team of Indiana for 10 years from 1985-1995 providing sports massage at all the NCAA collegiate events in Indianapolis, IN. These included, Track & Field, Summer Olympic Trials, World Judo, World Gymnastics, & World Masters Swimming. Because of her experience she was invited to provide sports massage at the 1988 Winter Olympics at Calgary, Canada and the 1996 Centennial Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
Schumacher, impressed with the healing capabilities of massage on her patients of all ages, explored other areas of complementary medicine and became a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist in 1998 graduating from the Midwest College in Racine, Wisconsin. That same year, with an increasing client base and need for more treatment rooms, Schumacher built the Centerís current facility with 7 treatment rooms and office space for a growing staff.
Today Schumacher operates a multi-disciplined clinic with Certified Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists and a Chiropractor on site. She specializes in Acupuncture to Quit Smoking, Allergy Relief, Pain Relief and Inflammatory Disorders. The Massage Therapists provide Therapeutic and Sports Massage, Foot Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage, and Cranial Sacral Therapy.
