commute, work ,exercise, sex, ED, viagraAs the economy gets worse, jobs have become few and far between, resulting in many people having to take jobs far from their home.  My last job in agricultural research required me to drive over an hour each way every day.  If you add that up it equals about 20 straight days of driving, 24 hours a day, out of every year.  That’s not counting the driving for running to the grocery store, picking up kids, and the weekend fun activities.

Driving this much seems like, and often is, a huge waste of time.  However, I discovered a few tricks that can help make your drive healthier, both for your body and mind.

Catch up on Some Reading

As busy as everyone is today, it can be hard to have time to sit down and spend some time reading.  While you certainly can’t read and drive, there is no reason you can’t still enjoy some of your favorite authors during your commute.  Buy a few audiobooks, and this will not only make your drive more enjoyable, but it will also take your mind off the stress of the day and allow you to relax.  It has been proven that people who can forget their job at the end of the day, and in turn reduce their stress, have lower instances of heart attack and have significantly longer lives.

Exercise

This may sound silly, but there are actually a few exercises you can do while you areSex, ED, Once Daily Cialis, Viagra, Kegels, Health driving.  Any time you flex a muscle, you are exercising.  It may not be as effective as pumping iron in the gym, but if you make exercise a part of your daily commute you will certainly notice the results.  You can work your core by simply tensing up your abdominal muscles and keeping them tense for as long as you can, and then repeating this.  Also, if you would like to work on your sex life, try doing some Kegels during your commute.  Kegels help both men and women in the bedroom by strengthening the muscles used during sex, along with helping prevent erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.

Learn a New Language

There are audio CDs and MP3s available for almost every language in the world.  Instead of listening to some radio DJ talk about garbage for hours a day, why not learn a new language.  You can spend 30 minutes a day listening to a learning language tape, which would be about the same amount of time you would spend on a college course each week.  Once you learn the language, you will have a new skill that will make you more valuable to your employer, or possibly open doors for new employment if you’re not happy at your current job.
