This week, we’re going to focus on a few places where Las Vegas has reached out and tried to emulate other cultural centers in the world. We might also throw in a couple reminders of the great America

Gondola Rides
There is a hotel in the city called the Venetian Las Vegas where couples can float down the canals of the streetscape, indulging in a romantic evening while just minutes away from some of Las Vegas’ great American attractions.
Starting at only $16, the gondola ride is also a surprisingly good value. The ride is a half mile long, passing down all of the shops of the Venetian — you’ll travel under “bridges, beside cafes, under balconies, and even outside to the Venetian-inspired exterior of the hotel.” Above is a ceiling designed to emulate a natural blue sky.
When you take this trip down the Venetian’s canal, you’ll be revealing the beauty of the city to your date as you lay back and soak in the romantic ambience.

Airport or the Sunset?
If you want to reveal your own spontaneous romantic nature, you can take your date to one of the many great locations for watching a beautiful sunset.
One such location is the Stratosphere Observation Deck, where you can see the entire Las Vegas strip as the sun goes down on this wonderful city. There’s also the McCarran International Airport, where visitors can sit in the grassy observation area and listen to the pilots through FM radio as the planes come in to land.
Other great sunset locations include Seven Hills on Eastern Avenue in Henderson and the Black Mountain Grill. Both of these areas are elevated above the rest of the strip, which makes them a great vantage point for watching the sun go down. They are, however, slightly farther out of the city.
