The disease also decreases the amount of\u00a0the enzyme eNOS in the body.\u00a0This enzyme produces nitric acid in the body, which in turn relaxes blood vessels, increases blood flow to the penis, and triggers erections. So, with less eNOS, that means it will be more difficult to achieve an erection.<\/p>\n
So, while bad breath, bleeding gums, and crooked teeth are definite turn-offs, you’ve now got another reason to be better to your mouth: your erection.
