Insular MS Lesions Linked to Erectile Dysfunction<\/figcaption><\/figure> A study published in Uro Today<\/em> has found that insular multiple sclerosis lesions are associated with erectile dysfunction.<\/p>\n

The area linked to erectile dysfunction in men with MS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The researchers used functional neuroimaging to look at the brains of healthy men to identify which areas contributed to erectile function. Then they determined associations between erectile dysfunction in men with multiple sclerosis-associated lesions.<\/p>\n

The results of the study showed associations between erectile dysfunction and multiple sclerosis lesions primarily in the bilateral and predominantly left the juxtacortical insular region. As the study concluded, \u201cMS lesions particularly in the left insular region, which is activated by sexual arousal, contribute to erectile dysfunction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Helping men with MS and erectile dysfunction<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like men without multiple sclerosis, some men with erectile dysfunction and MS may benefit from taking an erectile dysfunction drug, such as Cialis.<\/p>\n

Produced by Eli Lilly, Cialis is one of the top erectile dysfunction drugs in the country and has been approved by the FDA to treat not only erectile dysfunction but also the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.<\/p>\n
