Only a qualified dermatologist or <a href=\"https:\/\/karger.com\/sad\/article\/4\/4\/202\/291708\/Trichologist-Dermatotrichologist-or-Trichiatrist-A\">trichologist<\/a> can establish whether you\u2019re dealing with telogen effluvium or DUPA.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do doctors diagnose DUPA? On the other hand, if there are differences between your hair follicle diameters all over your head, you probably have DUPA.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note that while a positive pull test suggests a hair-shedding problem like telogen effluvium, it can also be indicative of other conditions such as androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, and scarring alopecia.
