\"\" Next year the makers of Viagra could be facing a big problem,\u00a0the patent runs out on\u00a0its popular erection problems drug.\u00a0Viagra has made millions of dollars, and when the patent is up the doors are open for other pill makers to create a generic form of the drug.\u00a0 A generic pill would likely cost much less than the $10\/per pill of Viagra, and could cut into Viagra\u2019s profit margin.\u00a0 So the company is being proactive.\u00a0 Pfizer, the drug\u2019s manufacturer, is creating new forms of the pill and other makers of erection issue drugs are following suit.<\/p>\n

Viagra is now selling a dissolvable form of Viagra in Mexico.\u00a0 They\u2019re calling it Viagra Jet.\u00a0 It\u2019s estimated that $55 million comes from the sale of Viagra in that country alone.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, others are following suit.\u00a0 Bayer, the maker\u2019s of Levitra just started selling a similar dissolvable pill in Austria, France, Hungary, Germany and Spain.\u00a0 That product is approved for sale in the U.S., while Viagra has said\u00a0it has no intention of selling their new product here.<\/p>\n

The makers are of Cialis are also working on a new \u2018weekender\u2019 pill that would allow men to take just one pill in a 36 hour span, rather than one day.<\/p>\n

In an effort to protect its profit margin Viagra is also filing a lawsuit to keep the patents longer, but several law experts say it\u2019s a feudal attempt to keep the inevitable from happening.<\/p>\n
