It\u2019s supposed to be taken three times a day and is sold in packages of 30, 90, and 180 pills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>What Are the Ingredients in Performer 8?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The manufacturer claims the ingredients in this product are natural aphrodisiacs that increase testosterone and increase sexual performance and stamina.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the label, Performer 8 pills contain:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Muira puama extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KSM-66 Ashwagandha, a patented root extract <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ksm66ashwagandhaa.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">made by an outside vendor<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ferrous bisglycinate, an iron supplement that\u2019s reportedly easier for the body to absorb<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maca root extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asian ginseng<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barrenwort, better known as horny goat weed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pine bark extract<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Glucuronolactone<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grape seed extract<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0555\/5988\/0870\/files\/P8_Label_1_1.png?v=1619080125\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">check the label posted online<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you\u2019ll also notice that it includes vitamins B5 and B6, which are not discussed in detail anywhere on the website. The dose of vitamin B6 is extremely high, 300% of what you need to prevent deficiency. Ultra-high doses of B6 can potentially cause nerve damage or other health problems, but because it is water-soluble, excess amounts are excreted in the urine. Unless you\u2019re already eating foods extremely rich in B vitamins, you\u2019re unlikely to experience any risk from the B6 in this product.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Performer 8 label also lists specific amounts of each herb, although precisely why those doses were chosen is unclear. For example, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/12472620\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a study cited on maca root<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> claims that it \u201cimproved sexual desire\u201d but was unable to explain how, which implies a possible placebo effect. Others were <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/20141584\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">studies done on animals<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, such as rats. Here\u2019s a sampling of what we found:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7340557\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comprehensive review of the literature in 2020<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> found little evidence that muira puama, maca root, ginseng, or barrenwort had any appreciable impact on ED.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KSM-66 Ashwagandha\u2019s patent holder has <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ksm66ashwagandhaa.com\/clinical-studies\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a full page of clinical studies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on various effects, including several on testosterone and sexual wellness. However, most seem to be small-scale studies; more research is needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The claims about ferrous bisglycinate being easier to absorb and gentler on the digestive system than standard iron supplements seems true, although the most comprehensive study was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8839493\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conducted on pregnant women<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, not men.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study on pine bark extract was accurately represented but was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/31855055\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a very small study<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with just 53 participants, and will need to be replicated in larger-scale trials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Glucuronolactone is extremely common in nature, and probably best known outside of medical circles for being added to energy drinks. A <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/efsa.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/epdf\/10.2903\/j.efsa.2009.935\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2009 scientific opinion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the European Food Safety Authority, the European equivalent of the Food and Drug Administration, found that glucuronolactone likely has limited effects on humans, for good or ill.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grape seed extract has been studied for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7922661\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">possible effects on blood pressure<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, but the site correctly calls these \u201cearly studies,\u201d and we should be careful in drawing conclusions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Is Performer 8 Safe?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35197\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min.jpg\" alt=\"man sitting at the age of his bed looking through his window\" width=\"780\" height=\"520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3.jpeg-1-min-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We found no indication that Performer 8 has any ingredients that would put the average person at risk or that it has any undesirable side effects. That said, talk to your doctor before taking any herbal supplement, and check to ensure that you\u2019re not allergic to any of its ingredients.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>What Do Performer 8 Reviews Say?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was very difficult to find authentic reviews for this product. Amazon reviews have limited use, as counterfeit Performer 8 products are fairly common on the site. We also found many \u201carticles\u201d that were <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/partner-content\/health-supplements\/performer-8-review-attain-maximum-pleasure-with-performer8-we-tried-it-for-3-months-3840125\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">labeled as reviews<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> but are clearly <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.villagevoice.com\/2021\/09\/29\/performer-8-review\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">promotional content<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the independent reviews we did find, the opinions were mixed. For example, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.midss.org\/health\/performer-8-reviews\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MIDSS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which had the review independently checked by an MD, praised Performer 8 but didn\u2019t give any credence to its claims, saying instead that it helps with conditions that might cause problems in the bedroom such as high blood pressure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthcanal.com\/sexual-health\/performer-8-reviews\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HealthCanal<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in an article reviewed by a nurse, stated, \u201cIt might work for you, it might not.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One point in Performer 8\u2019s favor is that, unlike some other supplements, it hasn\u2019t drawn the attention of the FDA. We found no FDA warnings about this product, and it doesn\u2019t appear on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/drugs\/medication-health-fraud\/tainted-sexual-enhancement-products\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the FDA\u2019s list of tainted sexual enhancement products<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
