And if they do, they don\u2019t necessarily follow the tried and tested ways to make love. A new study sheds light on recent <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sexual behavior<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> trends of modern Americans.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>New Study on Sexual Behavior in the United States<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To understand people\u2019s sexual habits, experts from Indiana University <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/0092623X.2022.2126417\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">analyzed answers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from over 2500 participants of the 2021 National Survey of Sexual Wellbeing. People selected for the study were over 18 years old and formed a representative sample of the American population.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Researchers admit, however, that they did not have a representative sample of respondents from the LGBT+ community. This means the study results are more relevant to heterosexual behaviors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Kissing and Intercourse Are Still In<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At first glance, our bedroom habits don\u2019t seem to have evolved much. Most women and men said they kiss, cuddle, have penetrative intercourse, and enjoy manual stimulation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was a noticeable difference between genders when it comes to oral pleasure, however, with women receiving less of it. The study didn\u2019t go into detail about why this is happening.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The authors of the report found a link between receiving oral stimulation and higher levels of satisfaction for both genders. Contrary to popular belief, intercourse isn\u2019t a top choice anymore for 18 to 24-year-olds!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only 69.8 percent of women and 77.5 percent of men from the Gen Z generation reported having vaginal contact at their last sexual encounter, compared with 86 percent of women and 84 percent of men aged 40 to 49.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We tend to think that young adults are hormone-filled sex machines, but according to research, they love to cuddle and kiss. More than 90 percent of women and men in their twenties said they had kissed during intimacy. For people in their forties, those numbers were much lower \u2013 approximately 74 percent for women and 80 percent for men.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Newly Trending Sexual Behaviors<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even though traditional forms of sexual fulfillment are still popular, Americans are also open to novelty. At least one in ten men and a higher percentage of women admitted to using vibrators during their last intimate contact with a partner.
