Richard Fast<\/strong> the Creator of the 29 Day Series joins the show. Richard knows what it\u2019s like to have a detestable habit. He had one: smoking. Like many smokers, he picked up the habit as a teenager and by 16 he was committed to it. By the time he was in his early 20s he had a 60-cigarret-a-day habit. Twenty-five years later he says the greatest accomplishment of his life was kicking the habit, and from this success he set out to help others quit bad habits or acquire desirable ones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Richard Fast knows what it\u2019s like to have a detestable habit. He
\nhad one: smoking. Like many smokers, he picked up the habit as a
\nteenager and by 16 he was committed to it. By the time he was in
\nhis early 20s he had a 60-cigarret-a-day habit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He loathed this part of his life, angry that he was controlled by an
\nutterly destructive habit. So Fast decided to quit, but not
\nimmediately that day or by trying to gradually cut back like past
\nquitting attempts. Instead, he set out to reprogram his thinking
\nabout smoking from pleasurable and impossible-to-quit to
\nfocusing on how much he hated it and how destructive it was on
\nhis health.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Twenty-five years later he says the greatest accomplishment of his
\nlife was kicking the habit, and from this success he set out to help
\nothers quit bad habits or acquire desirable ones. Fast\u2019s \u201c29 Days\u201d
\nseries is a step-by-step program that helps participants re-train
\ntheir thought process about life goals. His series currently
\nincludes: 29 Days \u2026 to your perfect weight, 29 Days \u2026 to your life
\nwithout cigarettes, 29 Days \u2026 to save money and achieve financial
\nindependence and 29 Days \u2026 to becoming a great listener and
\ncommunicator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFast says. \u201cThese small gentle steps engage the cortex, the rational thinking brain, while simultaneously

A prolific developer of board games, puzzles and toys, Fast is most notably the maker of the early 90s
\nboard game MindTrap (Mattel) \u2013 which challenges players to correctly answer brain teaser questions.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Fast is a native and current resident of Ontario and a full-time writer. He is a member of the International
