It\u2019s well known for saving people money on prescription drugs. In this case, buying at Walmart might save you a couple of bucks or cost you a few more, depending on whether you order the brand-name or generic product.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Levitra is no longer available, as it has been discontinued by the manufacturer. However, the less-expensive generic version, vardenafil, is still available nationwide. Walmart\u2019s price of <\/span>$9.48<\/b> per pill for vardenafil 20 milligrams is significantly lower than the current national average of $15.04 but higher than Costco and Amazon, at <\/span>$4.48 <\/b>and<\/span> $5.03 <\/b>respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Walmart\u2019s price for 10 milligram vardenafil is <\/span>$4.74 <\/b>this month, again, lower than some retailers and the national average of $7.52 but higher than Costco and Amazon, which are <\/span>$2.24<\/b> and <\/span>$2.52,<\/b> respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like its competitors <\/span>Viagra<\/span><\/a> (<\/span>sildenafil<\/span><\/a>) and <\/span>Cialis<\/span><\/a> (<\/span>tadalafil<\/span><\/a>), <\/span>vardenafil<\/span><\/a> works by blocking the enzyme phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5). This increases blood flow to the penis and leads to harder, longer-lasting erections. Vardenafil has also shown some promise as <\/span>a treatment for premature ejaculation<\/span><\/a>, although research into why and how effective it may be is ongoing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Levitra first came onto the market in 2003, approved for men 18 and older. The effects of vardenafil haven\u2019t been studied on any other group, so it\u2019s not recommended for anyone outside that group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bayer\u2019s patent on Levitra expired in 2018, paving the way for generic drug manufacturers to make their own versions of the active ingredient, vardenafil. It\u2019s recommended to take vardenafil 25 to 60 minutes before you think you\u2019ll be intimate, and it generally lasts between four and five hours. Vardenafil should only be taken once every 24 hours, and it can be taken with or without food. Remember, however, that these times are just averages. Everyone\u2019s body chemistry and physical condition are different, and you may experience different results.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vardenafil is chemically similar to sildenafil, with a few changes in chemistry. If you\u2019re allergic to sildenafil, you likely will also be allergic to vardenafil, so get an allergy test before taking this medication.<\/span><\/p>\n
