Stendra is the new kid on the block among the brand-name erectile dysfunction drugs available in the United States. Introduced in 2012, it is unlikely to face generic competition until 2025. This makes it the only brand-name ED medication without generic competition.<\/p>\n

Stendra\u2019s active ingredient is avanafil, a chemical compound that belongs to the family of ED medications known as PDE5 inhibitors. They are so-called because they temporarily sideline an enzyme known as phosphodiesterase-5, which can interfere with optimal blood flow to the penis.<\/p>\n
