Researchers at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in La Jolla, California, successfully used human induced pluripotent stem cells to stimulate the growth of natural-looking hair. These findings were presented on June 27, 2019, at the annual meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research, according to ScienceDaily.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The National Institutes of Health<\/a> defines induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) as \u201cadult cells that have been genetically reprogrammed to an embryonic stem cell-like state by being forced to express genes and factors important for maintaining the defining properties of embryonic stem cells.\u201d<\/p>\n
