The theory, assuming the two events were related, was that the marijuana <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/articles\/10.3389\/fpsyt.2022.1055481\/full\">acted on the liver enzymes<\/a> that normally break down medication like Viagra, so that it was in the patient\u2019s system for much longer, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/erectile-dysfunction\/viagra\/what-common-drugs-interact-with-viagra\/\">a fairly common drug interaction<\/a> with Viagra.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edrugstore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/marihuana-plants.jpg\"><br><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When THC was administered to lab animals in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC8983573\/\">2022 study<\/a>, the animals exhibited reduced functioning or health of their reproductive organs, including smaller prostates and seminal vesicles, and changes in testicular functioning, which researchers attributed to a THC-caused drop in testosterone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the relationship between ED and testosterone is much more complex than a simple one-to-one ratio, so this may only be a factor with ED caused by hormone imbalances.
