Similar savings are achieved by following the same strategy with the higher-strength tablets of vardenafil and tadalafil.<\/p>\n

Sildenafil Is Currently the Cheapest<\/h3>\n

Based on a recent price check at CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart, as well as the online prices posted at eDrugstore.com, the least expensive generic ED drug as of early June 2019 was sildenafil citrate, the generic equivalent of Viagra. As you can see from the accompanying table, its average price was $19.53 per recommended starting dose of 50 milligrams.<\/p>\n

Somewhat higher \u00a0is vardenafil hydrochloride, the generic equivalent of Levitra, which comes in at $22.89 per recommended starting dose. Higher still in price is tadalafil, the generic equivalent of Cialis on demand, which has an average price of $25.14 per recommended starting dose.<\/p>\n

Staxyn\u2019s Generic is the Most Expensive<\/h3>\n

Not included on the table is vardenafil hydrochloride ODT, an orally disintegrating form of the medication and the generic equivalent of Staxyn. Because it is sold exclusively in packets of four 10-milligram tablets each, it is difficult to compare in a table with the other generic ED drugs.<\/p>\n

The price per 10-milligram dose of orally disintegrating vardenafil is $37.77, making it far and away the most expensive of the generic ED drugs. However, for men who find it difficult or even impossible to swallow tablets, this method of delivery might make it the most preferable of all the generics.<\/p>\n
