That\u2019s the bad news. How do you recognize the earliest signs of male pattern baldness, also known as androgenetic alopecia? The drug works by inhibiting an enzyme known as type 2 5-alpha reductase, which facilitates the conversion of the male hormone testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, or DHT.
