<\/a>As a man, society seems to put much more emphasis on exercise and strength training as opposed to dieting.\u00a0 However, dieting is not just for women.\u00a0 Obesity has reached record high levels in the US, and a large part of this is due to the unhealthy eating habits of men.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter how much you exercise if you are gorging yourself on things like doughnuts, bacon, and cheeseburgers.\u00a0 Aside from the fact that a junk food diet will quickly make you gain unhealthy weight and become lazy, it also is very dangerous for your heart.<\/p>\n

The problem for most men is that they can\u2019t stand to feel hungry.\u00a0 After a hard day\u2019s work you want a big meal that will make you feel full and satisfied.\u00a0 Luckily, there is a way for you to eat as much as you want while still losing weight with what I\u2019ll call the \u201cDude Diet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The main emphasis of this diet is to focus on the quality of what you eat, not the quantity.\u00a0 Keep pastas, breads, and any high carbohydrate\/cholesterol foods to a minimum.\u00a0 Instead, replace the biscuits and pasta with lean meat and veggies.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s an example of how you can implement the diet.\u00a0 Instead of bacon and pancakes for breakfast, substitute some boiled eggs and whole wheat cereal or oatmeal with low fat milk.\u00a0 You can save over 1000 calories, depending on how much you would normally eat.\u00a0 The key is not quantity here.\u00a0 You can eat the same amount, yet still lose weight because of WHAT you are eating.<\/p>\n

For lunch skip the cheeseburger and replace it with a grilled chicken salad with low fat dressing.\u00a0 Or if you\u2019re really craving some carbs, try a whole wheat turkey sandwich. \u00a0\u00a0When dinner time comes around, try some grilled salmon and steamed veggies, or any combination of lean meat and veggies will work.<\/p>\n
