That is a reality now because I have figured out how to prevent the horrible nagging pain that is associated with heartburn.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

I started getting ulcers years ago, and it took me a long time to figure out what the problem was, being the type of person who would rather self diagnose than have to visit a doctor.\u00a0 I\u2019ve always enjoyed my few indulgences in life, mainly spicy food and cold beer\u2026and preferably at the same time.<\/p>\n

I finally decided to go to the doctor, and he told me that I had heartburn and ulcers.\u00a0 Heartburn has nothing to do with the heart of course, it was just named that because of the burning sensation in your chest.\u00a0 I was given Nexium<\/a> to treat it, which worked wonders.\u00a0 Within a couple days I no longer had heartburn, no matter what I ate.<\/p>\n

Of course, the doctor also recommended that I avoid alcohol and spicy foods.\u00a0 I told him thank you for the suggestion, knowing that that was not going to happen any time soon.\u00a0 As a result I occasionally will have to get Nexium<\/a> again once the symptoms flare up, but it always does the trick.\"heartburn,<\/p>\n

There are also a few things you can change about your lifestyle to help prevent heartburn:<\/p>\n

1). Lose Weight \u2013 If you are obese the extra weight on your stomach will push the stomach up, forcing acid into the esophagus.<\/p>\n

2). Looser Clothes \u2013 Tight fitting clothes have the same effect of putting pressure on the stomach and lower esophagus.<\/p>\n

3). Dont Lie Down \u2013 Wait at least two to three hours to lie down after eating.\u00a0 If you have to lie down, elevate your head to prevent acid from moving into the esophagus.<\/p>\n
