In 2011, one study followed a 19-year-old male, type-one diabetic who followed a vegan diet containing lots of soya. The researchers linked his erectile dysfunction and hyposexuality to the soya consumption, noting that his testosterone levels had also significantly decreased.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s important to consider that rats and humans don\u2019t metabolize soya in the same way and many of the studies on the effects of soya on animals include extremely high doses of soya\u2014more than a human would likely eat.<\/p>\n
