In a series of four studies, a team of researchers affiliated with Switzerland\u2019s University of Fribourg and the University of Toronto in Canada explored the beneficial effects of affection as expressed in sex. Their findings were published in a 2017 issue of the \u201cPersonality and Social Psychology Bulletin.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

In the conclusion to their report, the researchers point out that their studies underline \u201cthe important role of nonverbal intimate exchanges — sex and affectionate touch — to maintain well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n
