Governor Orders Study of Seeds for Erectile Dysfunction Treatment<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The governor of Sukhothai in Thailand has ordered the Sukhothai College of Agriculture and Technology to study pha dam seeds for possible use as an erectile dysfunction treatment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the Bangkok Post<\/em>, Governor Pipat Ekpapan was instructing the college to study the indigenous plant and seek a patent registration.<\/p>\n

All of this happened on the heels of a major announcement by local health officials warning that 10 samples of the drug sildenafil, the active ingredient in the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra<\/a>, taken from the region were from found to be unlicensed.<\/p>\n

Of the 10 samples, which were in both powder and capsule form, none was found to be licensed by the Food and Drug Administration.<\/p>\n

The risk of fake Viagra<\/h3>\n

The director-general of the Medical Sciences Department, Dr. Sukhum Kanchanaphimai, warned that taking unlicensed erectile dysfunction drugs<\/a>, including fake Viagra, is very dangerous\u2014even fatal. Dr. Kanchanaphimai explained that consumers have no way of knowing what ingredients they\u2019re taking in unlicensed erectile dysfunction pills.<\/p>\n

Viagra in the United States<\/h3>\n

Because Viagra is not only the most popular erectile dysfunction drug in the world<\/strong> but also the most counterfeited, it requires a prescription in the United States.<\/p>\n

This ensures that men are getting FDA-approved Viagra, which is not only effective but also pure.<\/p>\n

By requiring a prescription for Viagra, men also have the opportunity to talk to a medical provider about current medications, including prescription, legal and illegal drugs, supplements, vitamins and minerals they may be taking. It also ensures they\u2019ll talk to their doctor about health concerns.<\/p>\n

Although Viagra is safe for most men and works for more than 80% of men with erectile dysfunction<\/strong>, it should be used under the care of a doctor.<\/p>\n
