James Cameron Says Vegan Diet Helps Erectile Dysfunction<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

One of the most famous directors in the world says that he believes a vegan diet could put the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra out of business.<\/p>\n

In his new documentary, \u201cThe Game Changers,\u201d<\/strong> James Cameron attempts to highlight the benefits of a vegan diet to human health<\/strong>, including its ability to help men with erectile dysfunction.<\/p>\n

Cameron says that too often, men associate masculinity with consuming meat when there are actually plenty of plant-based sources of protein. In addition, he points out that the evidence of a vegan diet\u2019s ability to fight erectile dysfunction<\/strong> is compelling, \u201cbecause obviously, one of the first symptoms of atherosclerosis is erectile dysfunction<\/a>,\u201d he says. \u201cAnd then some of the more severe heart problems tend to follow very quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the documentary, urologist Dr. Aaron Spitz, who wrote \u201cThe Penis Book,<\/strong>\u201d had three men change from meat-based diets to plant-based diets and found that their erection function was better. They weren\u2019t subjective tests; the men wore devices that measured their penile girth and length<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Making veganism masculine<\/h3>\n

Cameron says his goal with the documentary is to change the belief that men have to eat meat to be strong. \u201cSuccess for me would be if the public finally gets it that meat does not equal protein,\u201d he says. \u201cThat\u2019s the myth we\u2019re trying to dismantle here. It\u2019s men who hold that most dearly. \u2026 [They incorrectly assume that] if I don\u2019t eat animal flesh, I can\u2019t have big biceps.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film interviews health experts, physicians, Olympic athletes, and bodybuilders, as well as famous people, including Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/strong>, who all attest to the claim that you can be strong without eating meat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, veganism has been adopted by many more women than men. But that seems to be changing, as more men become aware of the benefits of a plant-based diet<\/strong> and the fact that there are plenty of protein-rich alternatives to meat.<\/p>\n

Until that shift drastically, men can turn to the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra<\/a>, which works for more than 80% of men.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
